Mathematical Olympiad". Yes ..from 24th December the 3rd olympiad is
starting and the first venue is Rajshahi. This year the festival will be
held in a larger manner than 2004. Ten more districts are included in
this third festival which are Rajshahi, Rangpur, Comilla, Khulna,
Barishal, Sylhet, Dhaka, Faridpur, Mymensingh and Chittagong. The
divisional winners will then join the nationwide festive in Dhaka in
18th-19th February, 2005.

The winners of the "Dutch Bangla Bank Limited-Prothom Alo math
divisional festivals" will join the third mathematical Olympiad in Dhaka.
The first part of the 3rd BdMO 2005 is the divisional festivals and these
are divided into 4 categories- primary, junior, secondary and higher
secondary. A national mathematical camp will be arranged with the winners
of the third olympiad and they will be trained more accurately by
mathematicians. The best six from this camp will be selected for the
International Mathematical olympiad in Mexico as representative of
Bangladesh.
A note to the competitors who want to join 3rd BdMO
At first, you have to do registration for the olympiad. Please
contact your educational institute for registration and follow the link
for the schedules of registration The
divisional festivals will start at 9:00 am. You should bring the
registration card with you and should be dressed in your institute's
uniform. Calculator, rulers and compasses will not be allowed. Other
necessary equipments will be provided by the arrangement committee. Every
festivals will start with the national anthem of Bangladesh and will end
with our math song. Beside these all day book fairs, teacher-parents meetings,
spot quizzes will also be arranged. So best of luck to all you for the olympiad.
