Re: বুঝি নাই-০২ (BOMC-2)
Vaia, The equations of example 1-43 are : $$2x+3y+5z=201;3x+5y+7z=315$$ Multiplying equation-1 by $3$ and equation-2 by $2$ we get : $$6x+9y+15z=603;6x+10y+14z=630$$ Now, subtracting the 1st equation from the 2nd, we get, $$(6x-6x)+(10y-9y)+(14z-15z)=(630-603) \Rightarrow \displaystyle y-z=27$$ Thus...

Re: Fly's Problem (Advanced)
Adib, thank you for making it clear :) . I think this is the generalization : Since, the no. of jumps are even, suppose no. of jumps=$2n$ So, total no. of distances the fly can be at after the $2n$ jumps=$2^{2n}$ Now, let, the fly has to jump $a$ times to the right to be at $5k$ distance from the st...

Re: Fly's Problem (Advanced)
Adib, could you clarify which data we are supposed to assume to be even?? :?: I couldn't be clear which data has to be even. So, I am posting my solution without generalization: First, there are $20$ jumps. In each jump, the fly can move both forward and backward. So, $2$ choices for each jump. Ther...

Hello everybody, I am Sowmitra Das, a student of St. Joseph Higher Sec. School, SSC candidate and Math Camper-2012. This year was my first BDMO National as well as 1st math camp; but 3rd divisional. I only dreamt of getting chance in the camp and meeting all those people of superhuman intelligence. ...
