5 pirates have 100 gold coins. They have numbered themselves from 1 to 5 (They have agreed about this numbering). First, pirate # 1 will propose how they will distribute the coins among them. Then other pirates will vote on it. If the number of pirates who gave 'YES' vote is strictly greater than the number of pirates who gave 'NO' vote, then the proposal will be accepted. Otherwise pirate # 1 will be killed and then voting will continue like that. (pirate # 2 will propose).
Assume that, pirates are good at logic and everyone knows what is the best strategy for him. Now, what will be the proposal of pirate #1 ?

I just figured out the following:
If Pirates 1,2 and 3 are killed, then all the coins go to pirate 5. He'll say no to whatever P4 proposes.
Same happens if 1&2 are killed, No of 5 will get him all.
This implies, if "its better to get killed then getting nothing" is as irrational as it sounds, 3&4 will have to say yes to whatever 2 proposes (কিছু দিলে ভাল, না দিলেও জীবন বাচানোর জন্য হ্যা বলতে হবে)
This means, if 1 proposes anything to both 3 and 4, he manages to secure 2 yes. 5 knows that he's gonna lose all if 1 is killed since 3 and 4 will say yes to anything 2 proposes to save life. So he'll say yes if he gets anything. So 1 can secure 3 votes in favour by giving 1 coin to 3,4 and 5 each. 2's No doesnt count now, so the witty pirate will keep the rest.
