For a brief knowledge there is no alternative for reading a book...

But if you just want the concept I would suggest Khan Academy... It's really great...

khan academy is very good. but all are vdo...and it'll take some time to view those. but still it's a gr8 place. and I've seen some book on bookboon.com it covers the syllabus of british curriculum.
