hey, did anyone noticed about the electrons in those reactions. I often can't match electrons in a nuclear reaction.

@tanvir viya does breaking a neutron makes electron alone? or, it creates a electron and a proton _ both? shouldn't it meant - neutron is made of electron and proton?

sorry for being so stupid! neutron breaks into e and p. but, where does the 2e goes when an alpha particle is emmited frm radium and turns into radon?

beta decay : neutron --> proton + electron + anti neutrino

alpha decay does not change any electrons.

so, generally Neutrino and Anti-Neutrino doesn't exist in atoms. They are created by neutron when it breaks.

And about the alpha decay..... here's an example:

on the left side there are 88 electrons. and on the right side 86 electrons! does the 2 electrons from $He$ does outside naturally...or its a nuclear process?

There are 88 electrons on both side. If the Radium (Ra) is neutral than the Radon (Rn) atom will have negative charge after alpha decay.
