Divisional Informatics Olympiad on 20 January, National on 3rd February

Dear All,

Happy New Year to all of you.
It is for those who can still qualify for International Olympiad in Informatics. Those of you who are already in universities can qualify for the World Finals of ACM ICPC. A big news is that SUST has qualified for the WF this year along with BUET who has made it 14 years in a row.
Please work harder to replicate the feat of Md Abirul Islam. You must practice a lot possibly at USACO. You should do it in groups with classmates of your choice.
Please register with the local coordinators giving your details like name school/college year roll number email address (if u do not have it make one immediately to be a citizen of Digital Bangladesh), mobile/telephone number. You can encourage other potential classmates as well.
Remember this year we are planning to take more students to Italy, and you can enjoy the sites of Europe- the birthplace of modern civilization and science and engineering.

math.h এর কাজগুলো জানলে ভাল। আর যত বেশি জানবা ততই তো ভাল। সবচেয়ে বড় কথা, বেশি বেশি প্রবলেম সল্ভ কর।
uva, lightoj (just google) এর প্রবলেমগুলা ভাল।

I participated in BDIO 2009-2011 and I cant remember a single problem where knowing a lot of language stuff ( C, C++, VB whatever ) made a real difference.

PLUS -> you will be allowed to take ANY printed material ( books ) and keep them with you during the contest. No worries if you cant remember any language things during the contest.

There will be a math section too.

Do not get me wrong though :P Knowing how to code what you want to code is very important and you might really mess up in APIO,BOI,IOI etc if your coding skills are too bad. From my little experience, I'd its mostly 85% solving and 15% coding.

Solve USACO no matter how hard it is or how 'beginner' you are. Its the advice Abir vai gave me for two whole years.
