I heard lot of about dark energy. It says they don't know what or how they work and they couldn't detect one. So how they know they exist and in a book i have read it says dark energy accelerates galaxy to expand farther from one to another. How did they came up with the idea?

It's just a perception. Dark energy is that kind of energy which we don't know! I mean,DE is that energy, except the energy that we know(kinetic,gravitational force etc). Scientists have no info about this thing. Many scientists have said that this is the most important thing in the universe. But scientists have come up this far that, in the outer space there happens some phenomenon caused by energy. But these energy is not known to scientists. So they call it DE

মহাবিশ্বের বিভিন্ন জিনিসের গতিবিধি পর্যবেক্ষণ কইরা বিজ্ঞানীরা সিদ্ধান্ত নিসে যে বর্তমানে আমরা যেই পরিমাণ পদার্থ এবং শক্তি দেখতে পাই তারচেয়ে অনেক বেশি পরিমাণ পদার্থ এবং শক্তি না থাকলে এইরকম গতিবিধি হইতে পারত না। এই রহস্যজনক বাড়তি পদার্থ এবং শক্তির নাম হইল অন্ধকার পদার্থ এবং অন্ধকার শক্তি। এইটা এখন পর্যন্ত কেউ খুইজা পায নাই; কিন্তু যেইরকম বললাম, অন্যান্য জিনিসের গতিবিধির উপর এদের প্রভাব দেইখা আমরা জানতেসি যে এরা আছে (ব্ল্যাক হোলের মত; সেইটাকেও দেখা যায় না, কিন্তু আশেপাশের জিনিসকে আকর্ষণ করে বইলা আমরা জানি যে এইটা আছে)।

Thanks for the information. They were really helpful. But isn't there any other possible way that cause acceleration other than a unknown energy. Oh wait that's a unknown energy too.. I saw a image it says 3d map of dark energy how they mapped it without knowing any information about it? Is that about the space (as we see) a unknown energy might be there that causes acceleration or any different method?

Actually space itself is expanding.So we are wathching that The galaxies are incresing their distance.
