Please install LaTeX fonts in your PC for better looking equations,
learn how to write equations, and don't forget to read Forum Guide and Rules.

Dev c++ is not good. I used it. I found bugs in it.........Just use codeblocks if you are beginner.

For c++ codeblocks is wonderful.Most of the coder uses it,though many use microsoft visual c++.But i think it's better to use a gcc compiler.so codeblocks is great.

If you are in Ubuntu (or some other gnome environment) you may have used gedit as a text editor. But for sure most of you do not know its an wonderful IDE for almost all languages. You need to prepare it for good use. I will try to make a post on that in this forum.
I use gedit for C, C++.
For Java, I usually use Eclipse. For very small programs, gedit.

This is not a suggestion, this is what I prefer, answer to the title post.

Geany হচ্ছে আমার সবচেয়ে প্রিয় IDE। এটা হালকা, সহজ, অনেক ভাষা(আমি মেইনলি C/C++/python/java/sql ব্যবহার করি এটাতে) সমর্থন করে আর পারফেক্ট নতুনদের জন্য। তবে ICPC প্রতিয়োগিতার জন্য আমি মাঝে মাঝে Visual C++ 6 ব্যবহার করি কারন বাংলাদেশের প্রতিয়োগিতাগুলোতে এটা থাকে।
