Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad (BdMO)
started its journey in April 2001.With the dedicated endeavor of the
members of the committee, the daily newspaper "Prothom-Alo"
and the "Dutch
Bangla Bank Limited "(DBBL),
BdMOC had already achieved its primary goal – To send team in
International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Four students from Bangladesh
participated in the 48h IMO
in Vietnum,
Slovenia. BdMOC starts its activities for the 49th IMO and 6th BdMO recently. Besides
arranging divisional and national Math Olympiad, BdMOC always extends its
cooperation to all interested groups and personals who want to arrange
Math Olympiad.
The
Bangladesh Math Olympiad and the selection of National Team for IMO is
bounded by the set rules by the BdMOC called
BdMO Regulations.
Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad is open for school and college going (upto
class XII) students of the country. The usual timing of the festivals is
around December-January- February.
The
winners of the 6th BdMO will call for 4th
Bangladesh Math Camp and the National Team will participate in the 49th
IMO.
