Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad Committee announced the team for the participation in the 52nd International mathematical Olympiad to be held in Amsterdam in July. The selected contestants are Dhananjoy Biswas (Ctg. College), Kazi Hasan Zubaer (Khulna Public College), Nafiza Anjum (Sylhet Women’s College), Sourav Das (Chittagong Govt. High School), Fahim Ferdous (Mymensing Zilla School), Nur Muhammad Shafiullah (Monipur High School). Dr Mahbub Mazumder will lead the team as leader while Munir Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan will accompany them as Deputy Leader and Observer respectively.

Welcome to the official home page of Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad. Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad (BdMO) started its journey in April 2001. With the dedicated endeavor of the members of the committee, the daily newspaper "Prothom-Alo" and the "Dutch Bangla Bank Limited" (DBBL), BdMOC has already achieved its primary goal – To send team in International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Bangladeshi students have been participating in the International Mathematical Olympiad(IMO) since 2005.
Besides arranging divisional and national Math Olympiad, BdMOC always extends its cooperation to all interested groups and personals who want to arrange Math Olympiad. The Bangladesh Math Olympiad and the selection of National Team for IMO is bounded by the set rules by the BdMOC called BdMO Regulations. Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad is open for school and college going students (upto class XII) of the country. The usual timing of the festivals is around December-January-February.
The committee also extended its cooperation to those who want to organize Math-Clubs and Parallel Math Schools around the country. |
